TOMIKITA emerged as a notable figure in the music industry during the late 1990s. TOMIKITA's debut album in 1993, "Life in Disguise", sold over 1 million albums and frrom 1995 to 2000,
TOMIKITA made a significant impact with the track 'Show me Love' from the album 날개 달린
침대 (Nalgaedallin chimdae), which was featured on the soundtrack for the Korean film 'Ghost Mama'. Another remarkable achievement during this period was the inclusion of the track 'Desire' in the Hollywood movie 'Silent Trigger', starring Dolph Lundgren and directed by Russell Mulcahy. This track was produced by Algonquin Productions and distributed by Filmline International Inc. TOMIKITA also showcased versatility by serving as the Executive Model for "BANG BANG" JEANS, participating in TV commercials and layout work. During this time,
TOMIKITA the second TOMIKITA Korean album, "Bed with Wings", under Doraemi Records.
Additionally, TOMIKITA formed the project band TOMIS BAND and released the album "HIGH RIDE" under Sony Records, supporting their Asian tour.
From 2000 to 2010, TOMIKITA continued to evolve, forming another project band named "JADE" and receiving invitations to play at prestigious events such as the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan and the Busan Rock Festival in Korea. This period also saw TOMIKITA's collaboration with Carmine Appice's "Guitar Zeus" album as a guitarist. Demonstrating global appeal, TOMIKITA toured 32 cities in Korea, along with performances in New Zealand and Australia. The TOMIKITA BUSAN KBS HALL SHOWCASE and a Korean tour were also highlights of this decade.
The period from 2010 to 2022 marked further achievements for TOMIKITA. The release of the 3rd Korean album, titled "IN DREAMZ", included the single "Lollipop", which ranked 9th for 3 weeks straight on the Hot Billboard. TOMIKITA's talent was showcased internationally,
performing at the 'London Trafalgar Square' Concert and embarking on a UK tour. Another
notable performance was at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Showcase concert. TOMIKITA was also featured in the KT Mega TV Showcase and performed at the New Jersey Korean-American World Peace Concert, Festival. Recognition for TOMIKITA's contributions to music came in the form of a nomination and award at the 19th Annual Korea Music Awards 2011-2012 in the category of Best Rock Artist of the Year. In 2013, TOMIKITA performed at the Pentaport Rock Festival with the band "Wire Tap in my Ears". TOMIKITA's song "Merry Me" was featured in a Korean motion picture (따라지), and the songs "Dreaming Again" and "Gray" were included in another Korean film (치외법권).
TOMIKITA continued to perform at significant events, including the Pentaport Rock Festival, and the Yoursummer Festival 2019, sharing stages with renowned artists such as ZEDD, ALAN WALKER, RITA ORA, CHVRCHES, CASH CASH, PREP, and HRVY. A notable performance also took place with Jess Glynne on September 7, 2019. TOMIKITA's career reflects a dynamic journey marked by versatility, international recognition, and continuous contributions to the music industry.
